WHO IS CHRIST?

This is a good question to ask, "Who is Christ?", for when you ask this question you will receive many different answers.  All these answers that are given, for the most part, are made up by man, there is no foundation for their answers.  In order to find out "Who Christ Is" you must look to the Bible, the final authority. The King James Version of the Bible there is no other.

 He is:

I. The Word:  John. 1:1  "In the beginning was the Word,"

    A. He is not one of many who are "prophets" as some
suppose, but He is "the Word".

II. The Light: John. 1:6-9 He is the one who brings all men out of the darkness of sin.

III. The Creator: John. 1:10 "He was in the world, and the world was made by him,"

    A. John. 1:2-3 "The same was in the beginning with God
....All things were made by him; and without him was
not any thing made that was made."

IV. God: John. 1:1c "and the Word was God."

    A. This is where many have trouble believing, they feel
that Christ is one of many gods that are in this world.
Yet they do not believe that he is "The God".

     B. We must look to God's word and not mans opinion to
find out if he really is God.  I John. 5:20 "This is the
         true God, and eternal life."

V. The Lord: John. 1:23 "Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias."

    A. The scripture that John uses here is that of Isaiah. 40:3,
"The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare
ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert
            a highway for our God."

     B. John recognized that the one spoken of here is none other
            than the LORD and GOD.

VI. The Messiah: John. 1:41 "We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ."

A.What Andrew was telling his brother was that Jesus is that
Christ that they had been waiting for.

     B. He is the Messias, the Savior.

     C. He is the Savior who would take away the sins of the world.
John. 1:29 "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away
            the sin of the world."

VII. The Son of God: John. 1:34, 49 "thou art the Son of God;"

    A. You must believe on the Son of God in order to overcome the
world.  1 John 5:5 "Who is he that overcometh the world,
but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?"

Conclusion:

There is only one way to come before God and that is through Jesus the Christ, the Messias.  Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." John. 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Without this Jesus as your Savior you cannot enter into Heaven.
